Bennie

Well, last night drove 44 miles up to Woodlands to my stamp group... that's a long ass drive, but I only make it once a month or so... sometimes not even that. Plus, that gives me an excuse to go to the other big scrapbook store to look at what's new.

Sadly and surprisingly, I walked out without buying anything. I'm shocked... I mean, I usually drop $XX at that place... I saw some stuff that are neat but didn't feel like buying anything... stunned, I tell you.

Anyway, the group was good, not many people showed up, but my usual 2 friends were there, so that's ok. I think since the store I used to hang at is closed, all of us just kinda went our own way. Some people carried on to having a group and some just dropped off. Since I'm on the 'outer' loop from them, I'm usually the last to hear about those things. Plus, I work and they are mostly retired... so that's a disadvantage on my part.

Anyhoo, did some good projects, also zipped out of there in an hour and a half. Usually takes 2 hours to do the projects. But, the lady's house is the first one on the subdivision, there's no light and out in literally BFE, so I wanted to go home as soon as possible. Even then didn't get home until 9p. But was inspired to do more stuff... so that's good. Ordered more stamps.... I need stamps like I need a hole in my head... go figure.

So... this card, I made for my HS friend Laura who just gave birth to her son not too long ago. Their kid's name is Benjamin Patrick, which Patrick is the father's name. But, the whole Benjamin Patrick sounded very old skool. I like Ben or Bennie... and the jets. LOL.

Supplies:
Card, Chipboard & Patterned paper by DCWV
Clothes pins by Jolee's
Stamp by Hampton Arts

The card is great.

I miss my stamp club. When the store closed a bunch of us went our own way too. I was the youngest and most had grown children and I was pregnant with my daughter when I first joined.
