Get well quick!

Get well quick!

I did this quick card with some scrap and leftovers, and I have to say I liked how it turned out.

I know not much color to it except the main few, but I just liked the combo. Plus, it's job is to cheer someone up, right? I'm sure they like getting this than bills. :)

Ok, sorry so short, gotta run.

Anyway, I really like this stamp, which is very pretty and easy to play with. I had started to make one with different color, just haven't had time to pair them up w/ a card yet. I'm not usually the one for assembly line type of card making. I get bored easily.

Well, this is a easy and fun card to make... I think my mom has been eyeing on this one... we'll see. ;)

Year of the Ox

Year of the Ox
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
Well, I'm a day late, hopefully not a dollar short. But... HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

Yeah, the big day was yesterday, between work going crazy and our family not really big on celebrating, it kinda slipped my mind until my mom gave me a red envelope. (For those of you who aren't familiar, elders give young'uns red envelope and that usually has money in it.).

So, while this card is not in the traditional Chinese New Year colors of red, red, and more red. I thought that's it's cute. Too cute to not show off. =D

Anyway, it is the Year of the Ox, and there's alot of speculation as to how this year is going to go. Just like horoscope, Zodiac signs there's tons of 'prophet' gives their speculations. I love it when my dad would send me a letter (yes letter) and tell me how bad my year is going to be. It is so random, they say stuff like take care of your health and be careful driving... well, shouldn't you always take care of your health and be careful while driving???? It's silly, really.

Thought I'd share some sillyness for the day.

Anyway, it's on the same set of stamps that I got from Two Scoops. Totally love how cute everything is. You know between food and cuteness and now a combo of both, you just can't stand it, can you?

Alright, gotta go back to work. Have a great day!

Plus, I just got my Greeting Farm's stamps, so it was very serendipidous. :)

So sorry to have to keep it short, this week and coming weeks will be super crazy at work. So, I'll just keep it short.

Here's my first Vday card. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by!

It's your bday

It's your bday
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
Well, in case you didn't catch it Saturday, Agnes & Becky are our lucky winners. Congrats!!!!

This month, there's alot of bdays so I'm making birthday cards like crazy. On top of that, I wanted to do Chinese New Year cards, which is happening the end of the month. And of course, I need to get my butt in gear for Valentine's day too. Wow...

Well, this is one of the bday cards I've made. It's entirely crazy that I have 4 people that have their birthdays on the same day. That makes planning these celebrations very difficult.

Anyway, I got this set of stamps when Cat's Pajamas were having a sale. I love sales...

So, this is just perfect for that. Inside it does say, Happy 29th again. I just love it, despite my friend is over 40 this year. Bwahaha... It's fun and evil at the same time. Most Awesome!

This is a set that My Mine's Eye had put out. Guess they finally take notices that cardmakers makes up the business too. So, they have these neat sets with their awesome color palate and just entertain that whim for us card makers.

It's fun, quick, easy to make. Not to mention, if you go at the right time Hobby Lobby mark them down and it's well worth it.

DON'T FORGET, LAST DAY FOR THE BLOG CANDY! Ends tonight, will announce winners tomorrow.

Sorry for the shouting.

Ian misses you

Well, it's another day... at least the weather is 10 times better than the past few days. The past few days were damp and dreary, you'd think we're in Northern Ireland or Seattle or something. Don't get me wrong, I love both of those places, but I don't live there and don't get their cool scenery or amenities, I demand the weather to match. *sigh* So much for that.

Anyway, this is my Ian card. I love him, he's too sweet. I'm going to have to play around with his flower and clothes too... hmmm... The matter is to find time...

On top of that, I had taken advantage of The Cat's Pajama's sale day after Xmas, and those stamps are in. So, now I really need some catch up time w/ my stamps.

I know Verve is rolling out new stamps on Friday. My Favorite Things is releasing some new stuff today. So, I can't wait! As the saying goes, so many stamps, so little time.

Don't forget my blog candy is going thru Friday, announcing winner on Saturday. Click Here for more info.

Ok, let me tell you, I've resisted the Digi movement for quite some time now. Mostly because I don't have a good printer. So, all those colorful digi scrapbook kits with awesome patterned paper, I never think about buying because my printer will never do it justice.

When Marie at The Greeting Farm offered the cute cute digi stamps. I tried fighting it, but alas, she won. Or rather the digi movement won. They are just too darn cute not to get. OMG!

Obviously, the good thing about digi's is that they can release the stamps faster than having to wait. But, I'm constantly having to print at work, because their printer is a billion trillion times better. (shhhh don't tell anybody!)

Well, I caved. I fought it as much as I used to when wood mount was slowly coming to a threat of distinction. I didn't care that every time I move apartments I'm basically moving wood blocks from point A to point B. I insisted that wood block is King. I still do, but I can't resist that my favorite images (i.e. MFT) are all on clear stamps format. Plus, they really offer good bang for your bucks. Gah... now the digis.

*sigh*

Alright, enough of that... let's go back to talk about Blog Candy. Did you see? I posted them here. Go post a comment and win!

Let's talk Blog Candy, shall we?

To kick off the new year, I'm going to give away 3 sets of blog candy... Yay!!!!

Prize 1: a set of Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. Here's where I got friends with good taste and I go and buy the exact same thing without thinking. Naturally, I kept the one my friends gave me. So you benefit!

Prize 2: is a set of Soft Spoken 3D embellishment stickers, one Heidi Swapp Chandelier clear stamp, and a Magnetic Card set shape like tags. The 3D stickers I bought and then realize it doesn't go with my theme. The stamp I didn't realize when I bought them that 2 were stuck together. Hooray for freebie's, eh?!

Prize 3: has 4 sets of clear stamps from Hampton Arts, 3 sets of Embellishment from Life's Journey, and a set of Easter embellishment set. I was digging around and found the Life's Journey embellishment hidden behind my craft drawer. Yay for found stuff, huh?

Alright, let's talk how you can win one of 3 prizes. Tell me what stamp or tool you absolutely cannot live without, describe the picture and give the manufacturer. I will use Random.org to draw. Deadline is Friday Jan 9, 8CST. I will post results Saturday the 10th.

Have fun! Card posting soon.

Go Team!

So, I'm not much of a football kinda gal, but I like to attend the high school games. When I was in school, I was in the Pep Squad, so we would go to all the games, and do all these dance-y stuff and cheers and stuff. It was cool. Not so much that I know anything about the game, but just the sight, the sound, and the atmosphere just makes you want to be part of it.

I did this little Ian w/ my old high school colors of Black and Gold. I just love that combo. We were the panthers, but for some reason, our song for the team is always the "Eye of the Tiger". I'm sure after the Tom Cruise movie that has something to do w/ it, but Tiger, is not Panthers... Hmm... Wonder who came up w/ that.

Anyway, had a wonderful time w/ friends during the holiday season, unfortch I'm already back at work. :( But no fear! Check back Monday, I'm going to roll out the blog candy! Need the kick start the new year, right?!
