Anyway, I was so excited when I got a chance to play/stamp some. I swear my weekend just all disappear. So, whatever time I have, I try to play some.

Here's fun, GAME DAY, kinda card. I tried to have the paper look like the field, that's as close as it gets. My other paper I was going to use was literally grass from DCWV. I didn't use it because it looks like they're miget in tall blades of grass. At least this one looks like they're on a field.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. I had fun making it. Those colors are from my middle school, and I liked that alot. :)

That said, hubby had got me an iPhone to get around it. But that little poor thing is being overworked and than some. I sit up on the 37th floor so reception is not that great to begin with, 3G or not. So, it makes the dial-up speed pale by comparison.

Anyway, this card is too darn cute. I love this set, but you know, my syndrome of a sick stamper is that I will get the set and nothing as vibrant or colorful will come to my mind. Only when I'm playing w/ someone else's set that I actually get attracted to those colors and combos. How strange is that?

Maybe I need to go play at someone else's more often to get inspired. Anybody want a visitor? haha.

Tree for you

Hello, reporting live from Altanta, GA!

I'm actually just working a few days here. I did get a chance to go scoop out the LSS here. I went to meet Bonnie at Impressive Ideas. The whole town where this store is located it's so nice and homey kinda of feeling. There's a town glass place, a pub, a hip eatery, Krispy Kreme. Neat looking shops that combines the modern and old town feel. It's very homey to me.

The stamp store is in a little house. It looks little from the outside, but don't let it fool you. I was impressed w/ all that Bonnie has in there. Well, first, I have to tell you that I was lost getting there. It is on the north suburb of Atlanta, so I'm definitely fish out of water at someone else's turf. She was so kind, I was getting there 10 mins till close, she remained opened so I can shop.

I'm so thrilled, because for some reason, living in the 4th largest city in the country, there's no stamp stores around. We have several scrapbooking stores, but no good stamp stores. And trust me, I hate to do a bunch of online shopping, I'd much rather support LSS, but if you don't have any where you are, you have to get your fix some how.

So, Bonnie and I had that conversation, that online stores are killing LSS like hers because not having overhead of a brick and mortar, and then, can load and ship faster. But, personally, I still treasure the people interactions.

That said, I was thrilled to be in her store, she has the Outlines, TCPs, DeNami's, Hero Arts. But, she does have the smaller stamp makers and stuff too, which gives me an opportunity to see stamps I wouldn't usually get exposed to. So, that was a neat experience to itself. I did get one of my 'wanted' sets. So, I'm good for a while, until the next round.

Anyway, back to the card, it's not really my style. One of the ones I did at the class, but I like the color combo, so it stays!

Or, rather I live so far away from them. I clocked it, it was 44 miles from her house to mine. OMG! I spent more time sitting in traffic than stamping. Hmm...

Well, this is one of the cards I made at the group. It's quick neat and simple. I mainly love the fat ribbon. I never thought much of using them becuase let's face it. It takes up alot of room.

But in this card, it just worked for whatever reason. And I'm lovin' it! Most importantly, I was loving the little binder clip... it's just too cute and awesome!!!! MUST. HAVE!

Couch Surfing

The other is that I've been a part of the Swing Dance group for years... and one of the biggest event is here in town. You can check out the event here. I'm not on TV, but I am the DJ at the back that people were dancing to. In the interview, it feature Frankie Manning, who will be turning 95 in May. I will be helping out at the event as well. Can you believe 95 and still dancing?! If I can only do that when I'm at age.

Anyway, back to this card... I had gotten this stamp a while back, but never had the chance to ink it. Then, a trip to Michael's led me to the Sabrina paper, I'm just 120% in love with it. It just calls for a couch and skirt type situation like this. Trust me, in real life, I don't even get this sassy and wear a nice skirt to surf the web on my couch. I usually just Jeans and T-shirt it. But, it's cool nonetheless....

How about: clovers? Checked! Rainbow? Checked! Pot of Gold? Checked! Rabbit's foot? Well... a bunny is close enough.

So, where is my luck??? I'm waiting for the winnings for more stamps people!

Well, unlucky for me, I found out to my surprise this morning that all my usual online haunts are blocked from work. So, all you lovely ladies blogs, blocked. No facebook, no blogger, no wordpress, no blogspot. It's just sad sad sad. :( Unlucky for me.

However, glimmer of the silver lining, I can still post. Shhhh, but until they block it. I'll definitely try to keep up. ;)

Have a great day!

There's nothing new except all these awesome stamps out there, and I don't have enough time for them all. Of course, our firm just announced that we have to do 2 weeks mandatory vacation, so I may take advantage of that and get some stamping time in there. W00t!

That said, having too much stamps... I just saw that Overstock.com is having a craft & sewing sale. I didn't even know that they have overstock on craft stuff on that site. But, heck, if it is cheaper, I'm all for it! Check it out: www.overstock.com

This thing is truly huge... it is actually bigger than a card. So, I'm in search of a larger envelope. Hmm...

It is kinda cool though... I can't help it!

Horseshoe

So... we're in March, finally!!!

I know I've been slackin' but for good reason, I promise. But! I want to share my nifty Green collection for this March.

This year, I found som neat stamp to highlight St. Patrick's day. Usually, they're pretty lame, but this year, all the manufacturers are stepping up w/ some pretty awesome stuff. I'm still not much into Leprechauns. No one can do a good one and they always reminds me of a more drunken looking of the Lucky Charm guy. So, that's ok.

Horseshoes, however, can rarely go wrong. So, horseshoes it is. In real life, no one would want to see a bunch of horseshoes falling from the sky, cuz I mean c'mon. It's like cartoon to have anvils coming from the sky. It'll hurt. But, seeing it's sorta cartoony, I guess that's ok.

Plus, horseshoes always reminds me of the races like the Kentucky Derby, and that would just be appropriate to have ribbon along with it.

Ok, I'm just rambling on this point... Just have to say, glad I got to stamp again after stressful weeks. Wohoo!
