This is one of my problem: sometimes I really think that I'm ADD, because of all the blogs I read and all the websites I visit. I no longer know who's blog or site I'm looking at. I just see pretty colors and combos and marvel. If I happen to remember what it is, and actually execute a card, it's like a freggin' miracle. Anyway, I am guilty of being a copy cat, don't know who I've copied it from. But, 'tis true!

Ok, got tons going on. Don't forget to sign up for blog candy here. You have till August 6th. Just make sure you post a comment on that post and we'll have random.org do the work! :)

Have a good one.

Let's talk card! This is my relatively new Rubber Romance stamp. It's new because I've got it for months and it's uninked. Gasp! Shocking I know. Not inking new stamp is blasphemy. But, here it is... virgin no more. Haha!!!

I actually made this card for a Orange, Pink & Brown challenge. So, I did the patterned paper and did paper pieced her shirt too. Too cool! I love her! Of course, I have to have bling on her hand too... duh!

Ok, what do you get from me getting here? Some loot of course! I had taken the pics this morning but had trouble loading again. I swear the Memory Card Reader does not like to work in the mornings.

Alright, I'll quit stalling... what do you get:

12 Hampton Arts mini-clear stamp set (one per month, great for scrapbooking or make your own calendar)
1 set of Martha Stewart design Paper

Second Prize
1 pack of Matha's DP

Third Prize
Prima flowers

Unfortunately, only US residences can participate. In the past we have winner from out of the country, but they came back and there's no way for me to re-try. Sorry. Like, it makes you think one thing, such as 'I don't repeat gossip...' but then it turn around and say something else that totally contradict what you think the author would say: 'so listen good the first time'. I just love it.

Well, I think I survived another weird week. This is going to be my down week at work, but not outside of work. There's a big name coming into town to teach a dance workshop, and I'm running around town trying to get that all coordinate. Don't these people know that I have crafts to do???

Anyway, I'm approaching 5000 visitor... that's very exciting! I've got some goodies round up already. (Thank you Michael's $1 stamps!) Don't worry, there are other goodies too. Stay tune, I'll open it as soon as I hit 5000 on the counter.

So, this past weekend was just swamp with homework, class that the homework was for. Friend's bday dinner, some dancing and some crafting. Whew... that was alot in 48 hours.

This is one of the cards I made during the 'down' time I had. HA! Who am I kidding, I was super swamp but I found my word stamp and just have to pair it up with something.

The 2 girls stamp is the MFT cancer awareness stamp. I copied it from someone where I 'took out' the ribbon, and just made it look like they're just standing side-by-side. Then, I used the Rubber Romance word stamp. It's just too funny.

It's along the line of a good friend will hold your hair when you puke kinda thing. It's just cute to me.

Enabler alert

Alright, I have to admit, I was busy running around doing homework and what not that I didn't get to stamp or take any pics of this nifty organizing thing.

But, here's some enabler alert.

MFT is trying to make room for their CHA stuff, so their paper collection is on sale.

The Cats Pajamas is having a sale this weekend only. If you're on the fence like me, you would want to go.

Stampin' Treasures is taking Hero Arts Winter Catelog order. Also check out their Sale and Goodies columns.

I had a very cool organizing thing this past few days, and wanted to share, but I was up late working on my school project (my one and only class) till 11p So no pictures to show and tell. It just suck, because I haven't taken a school-class in about 10 years, and it's so hard to get back into the study mode. Grrr.

I thought this is a good card to send her off. With a few things only the States has. Funky books and stuff. I'll be fun.

It is so crazy that she had mentioned that she has to stock up on socks and underwear because it's so expensive there. That's just insane. But that's her home town, what can I say?

Well, we're having a work going-away party for her today. So, I'll be partying and not stamping... little sacrifices we make. haha. ;-)

Rain rain

Rain rain
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
Man, I was woken up by rain at 5:20a this morning. Well, trust me the rain is much needed, but not sure about the waking me up part. Last year, in July, there were about 6 days that did not rain. And this was not like downpour kind of rain; it was a Seattle drizzling kind of rain. While that sounds annoying, it was a lucky one. Because it didn't rain on my way to work or on my way home, only during the times I was inside. Those are delightful. Mainly because it feels cooler to what would've been a tortures month.

Anyway, Dolly is hitting S.Padre, and now it's just getting the residual rain here. Trust me, we've been teased to have rain for days, and saw nothing... Finally some and it woke me up.

Alright, enough about the weather, let's talk card. I was just looking at the picture and realized where I got the idea for those boots. I was thinking that it must've been from somewhere like J.Crew to have those bright color-ed boots. How cool would that be. They're expensive as heck, but cool nonetheless. Of course, I probably wouldn't have a problem spending the boot cost on craft supplies, but I would have a problem spending it on the boots themselves. How sad is that?

Well, that said, I decided to do a traditional color of raincoat. But then was reminded by the little voice inside my head that you never seen anybody in real life have a raincoat anymore. I don't think I see them on TV anymore either. But, if you do a bright yellow raincoat, everyone knows what you're referring to, how strange is that?

Alright, enough with deep thoughts, I have homework for a class due and got work going on. Bleh. I'd rather be stamping!

Don't do mornings

Don't do mornings
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
You know, every morning I said to myself that I don't do mornings. Well, I don't have a pretty fuzzy robe with fuzzy bunny slippers either... So, I guess I'll just have to suck it up. haha...

Anyway, I got this stamp and wish I do have one of those 'You need to be pampered' stamps. Or 'I don't do morning' stamps. Or, 'I'm grumpy, hand over the ice cream'. Or, 'I need a day off' kind of stamps. The possibilities as they say are endless.

The DH is sick and with no help from him, my stupid card reader finally decided to read the memory stick. I really don't care to be as technie as I am, but just all these stupid issues w/ the machines forces me to be. Grrr....

Anyway, did you all see that I had added fuzz to her robe??? I had put some liquid applique. It's addictive, and a little bit does go a long way. If I can just applique everything that'll be cool. Much like the Glass Effect stuff, I get really addictive to those as well. Except those take a long time to dry.

No Pic today

My silly card reader did not want to work today... I was trying to load up some cards I've done over the weekend... but it was just determined. Argh! Will have to get DH to take a look tonight.

On other notes, my class did not make. Boo!!! :( But, that's ok, we can do it at another time.

But on the good note, I was reading Craft Critique, and they got wind that next year's CHA will be open to public, now how cool is that?!

Hope you have a good day. I'll post a pic tomorrow, after a fight with my card reader.

No card today...

I know I've been a bad girl, but I've been prepping for my class at Sew Crafty. So, I'm packing and making sure I got everything I needed. Will definitely have something to show you on Monday.

Have a great weekend!

So, one thing I absolutely love is cupcakes, even as a kid. It's your personal individual cake you're not obligated to share. And since Houston is not hip enough to have multiple cupcake places like NY, we have 2. I did the DH's 40th with one, and my other party needs with the other. It's cool. But what I wanted to do is when I go up to Dallas (4 hour drive from here) is to go to Sprikle's and get their famous cupcakes.

Anyway, for my card, I added some sprinkles to it. I was one of the first 50 people that ordered from My Favorite Things and got a bottle of Stickles. I'm not sure if you've played with it before, but I have. It's just really a luxury type accessory. I don't often put stickles on alot of stuff, and can't justify buying a bottle. But if it's free, then hey, twist my arm.

I thought, what would be better but to put it on the cupcakes... YUM! I swear, I'm such a sugarfin, that I just want to have some while stamping. Here's a close up:

Anyway, update on my puffy eye... dr. just thinks it's allergies, which is very very unusual. But I'm on drops for 2 weeks... so hopefully it'll get better quickly.

On other notes, I see that my counter is approaching 5000, when it gets there I'll host a blog candy... how about that?! Ok, everyone have a good day!

Quick bday

Quick bday
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
Well, I had to churn out a quick card for a bday, so no stamping on this card.

I must say, I'm totally in love w/ Dena's Closet's DP, those paper are so cute, and if I Scrapbook, I mean really sit down and do the nice layouts, I would totally use all of her products. Too cute and stylish.

Anyway, I'm hoping to sneak away for 1/2 day from work today. Too much crap to do that's not work related. Of course, I have 11 days of vacation to kill between now and when my boss delivers. So, I'm under some pressure to do that as well. Grr... Never thought it'd be so stressful trying to take my vacation.

*sigh* Going back to work now.

Where should I go next?

Where should I go next?
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
You know, this week I really feel like this girl... where should I go next? Anywhere but here. Work is going crazy, my eye had this puff thing going on my eyelid. Whathe???

I found out my boss is pregnant so between now and end of October I need to take my vacations or I'll lose them. I'm kinda upset about that. On the flip side, my co-worker is highly recommending a Stay-In vacation. That might be a good idea to get caught up on stuff that I've neglected. And hopefully get more stamping done.

Either way, had flying weren't so expensive, I'd probably take myself to the SU convention now that they let non-demos go there. Plus, that'd be an excuse to go to Salt Lake and go to other stamp and craft places.

I had also thought about Seattle, because there seems to be more stamps store there too. Plus, I have a friend there. Trust me, I would like to be in the Midwest, except I know no one and don't even know where to begin. *sigh*

Alright, enough day dreamin'. Back to work!

Anyway, as we enter the technology age, I have to get the Stampendous stamp set that has all the shorten messages. It's just seems so fitting since I own a Blackberry that looks like this one.

Of course, I was watching Sleepless in Seattle and the little girl that's friends with Jonah, she started the abbreviated speak long before it's 'in'. She would do "H & G" which was Hello & Goodbye, and NW for No Way. So, comparatively speaking, we're just now 'catching up'. LOL... how silly.

Anyway, I did this for a lady who's a techie, just seems fitting.

Well, nonetheless, it's cute, so I'm sharing it with you. I just love the chubby birds. Trust me, it took me a while to decide on the birds. One would not think that someone would spend much time on it. Either you love it or hate it. But, seriously, I like the Hero Arts ones enough but it's not good enough to move me to buy. Then, there's ones from CHF, they're cute too but again, not enough to move me. These ones however, they're chubby and cute... totally awesome.

Anyway, enough love on the birdies... I was tempted to emboss the card with the Cuttlebug, but not too sure as I have one more layer to stick on there... Hmm... let me sit on it, and contemplate some more.

This weekend I'm going to have to work thru the weekend, so prolly no stamping for me. But no worries, I've stamped quite a few and still have stuff to show ya. :)

Anyway, I'm just hooked on MFT and can't stop... also anxiously waiting for the new catty from SU, as well as the new release from A Muse. But I digress.

Anyhow, so, Puppy, and kiddo... I've seen someone using a petal or something to make a pony tail, so it looks like a little girl hugging the dog. But, I'm going to spend money on a set for one stamp. So, if you see anything that resemble a pony tail, let me know.

Nothing too outlandish like the Dirty Skank blog, but nothing too tame either.

Anyway, when I was in Vegas, I visited the Viva Las Vegas Stamps (which btw, I do not recommend during summer time, because they're in a small shack and A/C is not working real well ~ try that in 106 heat). As I disgress, they have tons of smarty-pants type of stamps. I guess not much else to do but gamble in the dessert.

So, I thought, that's perfect for my humorous swap. I picked the confetti paper because it looks like something you definitely hate to vaccum after every party. So, it is only fitting...

In case you can't see the wording, it said, "Vaccuming is so much more fun when the hamsters are loose". That's just funny to me. Silly, I know.

Bring on the pressies

Bring on the pressies
Originally uploaded by Patty_kins
I must tell you, I have this guilty pleasure is to get as many presents as possible. I know that's greedy of me, but it's really the joy of opening up whatever it is inside. Don't get me wrong, I do give my fair share as well. I like the wrapping portion of gift giving... don't ask, I just do.

Anyway, this is a very cool card, I have to say. Aside of the fact that it's festive, I actually combined 2 sets of Xmas stamps and put this together. Long time SUers and fans would recognize the girl, who used to pull a small sleigh, that may carry a puppy, a tree, or something. But, newer SUers like myself would remember the present sleigh from a recent catalog. At any rate, I just matched the 2 up next to each other so it looks like she's pulling a big sleigh with tons of presents in it. No Stamp-a-mah-jig was used. Look ma, no hands!

I also did the liquid applique to do her fluff on her dress and hat, as well as snow. I kinda went overboard there, but trust me, it's just so fun, I can't help it!

Well, it's hot and rainy out, so hopefully this will cheer things up a bit... hey, I can dream, can't I?

I like that idea because all the stores in the metroplex are at least 20 miles from where I live. And mind you, I live in the middle of the city... go figure! 4th largest city in the country, I have to go 20 miles to go to a decent stamp store. No wonder, 90% of my stamps came from mail order or internet.

Anyhoo, so one of the vendor carries Bam Pop!. They're real fun kinda of stamp company. Some of their stuff is not my style, but the robots are cute! I saw the polaroid stamp just have to get it. They're just too cute!

I also got some Breezy Rub-on. If you haven't had a chance to play with it, I highly recommend it. They are kinda like the ones Making Memories have where you rub on the image, it sticks and you can put foil or flock on it. Well, Breezy's let you do foil, flock, AND glitter. Oooh ahhh...

Now, I will admit, glitter is messy, but uber fun... Anyway... shake it, like a polaroid pictures!
